Participants study a complex blend of technical design skills encompassing the key digital software tools, drawing and design elements such as typography, lettering, colour, printing, layout composition and visual hierarchy. The programme also covers packaging, signage and theories of perception and gestalt. All with the aim of creating meaningful design in a technological and emotionally charged world.

Students learn to communicate through a visual language and storytelling, including video and new media (web design, blogs, social platforms), with a focus on visual communication as a strategic lever. Creating new approaches to brand identity, image-making in advertising, or innovative ideas in publishing and digital media.

Istituto Marangoni’s one-year programme is aimed at international students who want to spend a year at Istituto Marangoni’s campus in Milan together with students from around the world. You study the first year of the bachelor’s programme and, upon completion of the courses, receive a certificate from Istituto Marangoni. You can also choose to continue your studies.
