Become an expert in sport management
This master’s program provides an in-depth understanding of the global sports and events industry — a rapidly growing sector with strong links to tourism, destination management, and international business development. The program spans 2 semesters + a 6-month internship, and concludes with a professional internship or master’s thesis.
The international sports and events industry is growing rapidly, creating attractive career opportunities. Cities, regions, and countries are increasingly using sport as a tool to strengthen their economies and develop tourism, hospitality, and the visitor economy.
The master’s program in sport management gives you a deep understanding of the business side of sports and events. You will study sports economics at both local and global levels and learn to plan and execute events, with competencies that prepare you for leading roles within the international sports sector.
Studies are primarily conducted at the Les Roches campus in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. Accommodation, meals, and health insurance are included in the fee during your time at the school, as well as an international internship. All instruction is in English. The program is eligible for Swedish student loans (CSN).

International Specialization — Sport and Events in Practice
Students gain international insight into the sports and events industry through:
- Studies at the campus in Switzerland
- Field visits to leading sports organizations
- International business trip. You will meet industry leaders, visit arenas, and follow event production up close — with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and leadership.
Internship or Master’s Thesis
- Internship
- A six-month professional internship in sports, events, or hospitality provides practical experience and a clear link to the job market.

- Alternatively, you can pursue an in-depth academic study within a chosen area of strategic relevance to the sports industry.
Admission
A bachelor’s degree is required, and work experience is considered advantageous but not mandatory, along with proficiency in English.
