Interior & Living Design
The programme is workshop-based with the support of seminars, lectures, tutoring, and fieldwork. Industry professionals, the programme leader, and project managers will guide students through individual coaching and mentorship. The combination of accredited courses and real-world professional projects gives students the opportunity to build on their academic foundation while gaining valuable work experience that is directly applicable to their future careers.
This programme can be taken as an 11-month Master’s, or as a 14-month double Master’s.
Interior design takes deep account of the types of relationships, activities, and habits that a space will enable. In Domus Academy’s Master’s programme in Interior and Living Design, students will collaborate with international colleagues and industry professionals on projects that reinvent interior and living spaces. With cultural, social, and practical considerations in mind, students will explore materials, furniture, lighting, and new technology as they plan new and innovative spaces.
The Master’s programme aims to train a new professional who can combine technical and design skills with strategic capabilities: a new professional who is mindful of the bond that space creates in our minds, and who is attentive to processes and timing in project management. Careers in interior design are many and varied. Students from this programme work in home furnishings, retail, hospitality and restaurant industries, event planning, furniture design, and architecture.
