- Everything in English. All programmes are taught in English; your fellow students will come from all over the world, and English will take you a long way in any study destination.
- Get credit for your prior learning. If you have work experience or have studied previously, you can often get credit for your prior learning and enter directly at a higher level.
- Easy to travel whilst studying. Within Europe, you can travel easily between major cities by train or plane – no car is needed, and it’s never far to get back home to Sweden.
Student life – something you’ll remember just as long as your degree
Ask anyone who’s studied abroad what they remember best, and the answer is rarely a lecture. It’s everything else – and our study destinations are among the places in the world that have the most to offer beyond the classroom.
- In the Swiss Alps, the campus is right in the middle of a picture-postcard scene. In Crans-Montana and the villages around Montreux and Lucerne, the ski slopes are within walking distance – many students head for the slopes before their first lecture and round off the day with fondue amongst the mountain peaks. In summer, skis are swapped for hiking trails, mountain biking and swimming in Alpine lakes. And when the big city beckons, Geneva, Zurich and Milan are just a train journey away.
- In Spain, life is very much outdoors. In Marbella, you’ll be studying just ten minutes from the Mediterranean beaches, with over 300 days of sunshine a year – a morning dip before class is a perfectly reasonable routine, and padel, golf, sailing and beach volleyball are all part of everyday life. Barcelona and Madrid offer the full Spanish city experience: tapas bars, world-class art, football at Camp Nou and the Bernabéu, and a rhythm where the evenings are long and the streets are always buzzing.
- In Milan, Paris and London, the city itself is your campus. Fashion weeks, art openings, concerts, museums and neighbourhoods where trends are born before the rest of the world has even noticed them. Here, you can enjoy an espresso by the Navigli canals, revise for exams in a Parisian park or explore London’s markets and music scenes – whilst networking at the same time, often without even realising it, in cities where your future employers are just round the corner.
- And New York – the city that never sleeps needs no introduction. Living and studying there, with Manhattan just a train journey away, is an experience that changes most people.
The best thing about student life, though, is the people. Your fellow students come from all over the world, and the sense of community on international campuses is hard to describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it – everyone is new, everyone is curious, and the friendships formed there will stay with you throughout your career and life. The term breaks also give you the chance to travel: a weekend in Rome, a sports holiday on the slopes, or an Interrail trip between terms. In a few years’ time, you’ll not only have a degree – you’ll have a photo album, a network of contacts and stories to last a lifetime.
Work placements – the first step in your career
What unites our partner schools is the international work placement programme. The placement isn’t an optional extra but a core part of the programme: you’ll gain months – sometimes years – of documented work experience from hotels, restaurants, fashion houses, design studios and companies even before you graduate. The schools’ close ties to the industry, with hundreds of employers recruiting directly on campus, go a long way towards explaining why so many students graduate with a job offer in hand.
More than just an education
Studying abroad is also about everything that happens outside the lecture theatre. You’ll forge lifelong friendships with fellow students from all over the world, pick up new languages along the way and discover new places every spare weekend. The academic year is divided into terms with breaks that give you the chance to travel, find inspiration and explore – using your host city as a base.
