Design Innovation
Design is undergoing a paradigm shift and taking strides forward in the 21st century. A convergence of pressing phenomena — from the risk of marginalising social and environmental issues to the relentless advancement of technology — has expanded the possibilities of what and how we design and the types of experiences we create.
The two-year Master’s programme in Design & Innovation broadens the reach of design research and design practice as a cultural and social act, promoting innovation strategies, developing methodologies, and recognising the interplay between different disciplines, perspectives, and approaches in meeting tomorrow’s challenges.
Students will explore regenerative design, artificial intelligence, design and complexity, and design for future development and scenarios. They will also focus on physical interaction, decentralised ownership, and hybrid experiences.
Focus
- Strategy, vision, and design
- Human-centred design
- Technological advancements and new design proposals
- Application of interdisciplinary knowledge to transformative directions in design
- You will explore theoretical courses in depth and then put your knowledge into practice through an unconventional blend of workshops, seminars, specialised labs, and bootcamps.
