Fashion Design & Accessories
The bachelor’s programme in fashion design with a focus on clothing and accessories — such as bags, shoes and other fashion items — gives you the opportunity to develop both your personal style and your creativity. Here you will build a strong foundation for a future career in the fashion industry.
You will work through the entire design process, from initial sketches and fashion illustrations to digital design, pattern construction and sewing. The goal is to be able to bring your ideas to life in finished garments and accessories. The programme covers both womenswear and menswear and provides insight into how to create products that engage and attract an audience.

At the same time, you will have the opportunity to explore new materials and techniques. This includes sustainable resources, 3D printing and experimental cuts — tools that give you an innovative approach to design.
To strengthen your creativity, the practical work is complemented by courses in fashion history, art and communication. This gives you a deeper understanding of fashion in a broader context and enables you to present your ideas professionally to both the industry and a wider audience.
As a finale, selected students will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a graduation exhibition or fashion show — an inspiring chance to gain visibility, build networks and open doors to new career opportunities.

The first year is also offered as a one-year programme
Istituto Marangoni’s one-year programme is designed for international students who want to spend a year at Istituto Marangoni’s campuses in Florence and Milan alongside students from around the world. You will study the first year of the bachelor’s programme and, upon successful completion of the courses, receive a certificate from Istituto Marangoni. You can also choose to continue your studies.
