Product Design
Luxury furniture and industrial design: from concept to commercialisation. This three-year bachelor’s programme in product design encompasses a blend of applied manual, technical and digital design skills (technical drawing, 3D modelling, visualisation and prototype development).
The teaching provides a holistic approach to the journey of project development within the design field. By working individually and in teams, creative talents are nurtured and developed through design processes, methods and the realisation of final products.

Students learn how to effectively apply research methods to develop product design proposals. They acquire knowledge of the fundamental principles of industrial processes and organisation, gain an understanding of material properties, and learn how to efficiently and innovatively utilise existing or new materials.
Special attention is devoted to product sustainability, ergonomics and user-centred awareness, together with training in design language and communication, providing a professional approach to the planning, negotiation and presentation of ideas.

The first year is also offered as a one-year programme in Milan
Istituto Marangoni’s one-year programme is designed for international students who want to spend a year at Istituto Marangoni’s campus in Milan alongside students from around the world. You will study the first year of the bachelor’s programme and, upon successful completion of the courses, receive a certificate from Istituto Marangoni. You can also choose to continue your studies.
