During the programme, students first gain a solid foundation in techniques and methods, before delving into the many different forms of expression that design can take. The programme is designed to awaken a sensitivity and passion for objects that not only reflect, but also shape, human life. NABA’s one-year programme is aimed at international students who wish to study design for one year at NABA’s campus in Milan, alongside students from around the world. You study the first year of the bachelor’s programme and, upon completing the courses, receive a certificate from NABA. You can also choose to continue your studies.

Interior Design

For those who wish to study design with a focus on interiors, the course offers an in-depth exploration of both scenographic and architectural aspects, while highlighting social and cultural values.

Here you have the opportunity to broaden your expertise from designing home environments to public spaces. By exploring modern traditions in interior design and integrating new application models, you learn to meet the changes and opportunities created by today’s digital technology.

Product Design

The course aims to guide students in creating a professional profile that is consistent with the historical development of international design, and in particular with the heritage of the Italian and Milanese school, but that also has the ability to look towards contemporary scenarios.

Through a progressive refinement of the necessary technical skills and a corresponding development in cultural and aesthetic terms, the course provides students with the tools to enter the competitive and fascinating context of 20th-century design.

Product and Innovation Design

The specialisation in Product and Innovation Design aims to help students develop their own design language in line with different visions of aesthetics and society. It starts from the international history of design, with a particular focus on the production of innovations through the use of technology, techniques, and new materials.

By progressively refining students’ necessary technical skills, it equips them with the cultural and aesthetic knowledge required to enter and succeed in the competitive and captivating world of 21st-century design.
