Painting
Study painting and immerse yourself in the language of the medium and its role within contemporary art. This is not just about mastering a skill, but about exploring painting as a complex process. The programme connects its rich historical heritage with its many possibilities in today’s cultural and artistic context — from theoretical and practical aspects to social and metaphorical perspectives.
As a student, you develop your personal expressive ability and place it within a contemporary visual context. You learn to combine theory and practice to produce and exhibit works, while gaining tools to write and communicate through the unique language of painting. The programme gives you a solid foundation to navigate the modern art world and express yourself in an engaging and relevant way.
Visual Arts
The Visual Arts course is based on the recognition of the coexistence of a multitude of creative approaches and forms of expression within today’s contemporary art, and provides insight into the systemic approach required to develop complex works, ideas, and projects.
Art becomes a method and a way of thinking and making, set in motion through various forms of practice and theory, in favour of personal expressive ability and vision.
Through a constant interdisciplinary dialogue of theoretical and practical experiences, students have the opportunity to explore creative, artistic, critical, and/or curatorial strategies that will help them work as artists, art critics, curators, and in all kinds of endeavours within the art world.
