The bachelor’s program leads to a dual degree, awarded by BHMS in Lucerne in collaboration with Robert Gordon University in the United Kingdom. The combination provides you with both deep knowledge in the culinary field and insight into the business aspects of the industry.

The program takes place in Lucerne, located in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. Student accommodation, meals, and insurance are included in the program fee. As a Swedish student, you have the option to finance your studies through student financial aid. A guaranteed, paid internship in Switzerland is included during the first year – a valuable opportunity to gain experience while studying.

From refining knife techniques and ingredient synergies to understanding flavor balances and constructing complex dishes – the program is designed to provide extensive hands-on training in seven specially equipped, state-of-the-art kitchens, under the guidance of experienced and industry-knowledgeable chefs.

  1. Year 1 – International Diploma
    1. Theory and practice in fundamental European culinary arts, kitchen techniques, nutrition, food safety, and more. Language choice: French and German.
    2. Internship: 4–6 months in Switzerland (guaranteed and paid approx. 30,000 SEK/month).
  2. Year 2 – Advanced International Diploma
    1. Theory and practice with advanced kitchen techniques, global culinary arts, management and operational competence, cost control, HR issues, business analysis, and more. Language choice: French and German.
    2. Internship: 4–6 months in Switzerland or internationally (paid)
  3. Year 3 – Bachelor’s Degree
    1. Theoretical studies in culinary leadership, creativity and entrepreneurship, food service management, development of new food products, and more.
    2. Internship: 4–6 months in Switzerland or internationally (paid)
