For those who are passionate about food, want to step into the professional kitchen world, or wish to explore Swiss gastronomy, this one-year diploma program offers a solid and inspiring foundation.

The program combines Swiss and European culinary traditions with practical kitchen skills and modern gastronomy. Throughout your studies, you will develop technical expertise, learn to work systematically in professional kitchen environments, and create both classic and contemporary dishes.

The program is suitable for both beginners and career changers, providing a solid base for further studies or employment in the restaurant and gastronomy industry.

This one-year program is delivered in Le Bouveret near Montreux, located in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Accommodation, meals, and health insurance are included in the price during your time at the school. All instruction is conducted in English. The program is eligible for student loans (CSN).

  1. Semester 1 – Culinary Foundations, Le Bouveret
    1. European Culinary Foundations I
    2. European Culinary Foundations II
    3. Food hygiene and safety standards
    4. French or German
    5. Upon successful completion: Swiss Certificate in Fundamentals of Culinary Arts
  2. Semester 2 – Advanced Culinary Course, Le Bouveret
    1. International cuisine and fusion cookery
    2. Food presentation, plating, and styling
    3. Special diets and balanced nutrition
    4. French or German
    5. Upon successful completion: Advanced Swiss Certificate in Fundamentals of Culinary Arts
  3. Internship
    1. 6-month internship in Switzerland or internationally
    2. Upon completion of the internship and studies: Swiss Diploma in Culinary Arts

We provide every student with individual guidance through the entire application process, student loan (CSN) arrangements, and other practical preparations before starting your studies. To apply for the culinary arts program, you will need a CV, a motivation letter, and certificates from previous studies. A genuine passion for the subject is what matters most to us!
